Rovers and Shels beaten in Conference League

Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers both remain without a win in the league phase of the Conference League.

Rovers' poor form continued as they slumped to a 2-nil defeat at home to Celje - with Franko Kovacevic scoring twice for the Slovenian visitors.

Elsewhere, Shelbourne boss Joey O'Brien feels they allowed a 'massive opportunity' to slip in their 1-nil loss at Skhendija.

A cross late on was turned into his own net by Shels' defender Paddy Barrett in Skopje.

It leaves the Reds with one point from their opening two games in the competition.

In Glasgow, Ireland defender Liam Scales scored as Celtic came back from a goal down to beat Sturm Graz 2-1 in the Europa League.
