Rosenior agrees to become new manager of Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new manager.

He's signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, replacing former boss Enzo Maresca - who stepped down on New Year's Day.

Rosenior - who leaves French club Strasbourg - joins with the Londoners fifth in the Premier League.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe insists he is committed to the club - despite some reports linking him with taking over at Manchester United.

He won the EFL Cup last season - ending a 70-year wait for silverware at St James' Park - and has twice guided them to Champions League qualification.
