Kevin Mahony hit the net deep in injury-time to earn a point for the Deise - as it ended Waterford 3-24 Tipperary 1-20 at Walsh Park.
All-Ireland champions Tipp had led by 11-points at half-time and both teams have one point from their opening two fixtures.
