Power falls short in bid to retain full playing rights

Seamus Power fell short in his bid to retain full playing rights on the PGA Tour for next season.

The Waterford man needed a top-three finish at the RSM Classic to edge his way up the Fed Ex Cup rankings, but ended the week in a tie for seventh on 18-under-par.

Power finished in 117th place in the overall rankings, which means he'll have conditional status on tour next season.
