Players to have stake in GAA+ platform

Gaelic Games players will now have a stake in the GAA+ platform.

As part of a new Recognition Protocol, the GAA have agreed to allow the GPA to hold a 15 per cent share of licence fees and dividends.

Former Hurler of the year Shane O'Donnell previously highlighted a lack of intellectual property rights for players who's likeness was used to sell previous platform GAAGo.

Meanwhile, the GAA has also doubled the funding for cardiac screening and dental protection for intercounty players to 40 thousand euro a year.
