Oscar Piastri was the quickest on the opening day of practice at the Formula One season opener in Melbourne.
The Australian finished narrowly ahead of Mercedes pair Kimi Antonelli, in second, and George Russell in third.
British world champion Lando Norris was 7th in his McLaren.

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton was fourth one place above his team-mate Charles Leclerc.
