McLaren's Oscar Piastri's secured his first pole position in Formula One, qualifying quickest for the Chinese Grand Prix.
He set a new lap record in Shanghai, finishing ahead of British pair George Russell and Lando Norris.
Defending world champion Max Verstappen will go from fourth, with Lewis Hamilton - who won the sprint race earlier - is fifth for Ferrari.
