OLYMPICS
Sanita Puspure has withdrawn from tomorrow’s B-final of the women’s single sculls.
The Irish rower placed a disappointing fifth in her semi-final earlier this morning.
She’s blamed her performance and subsequent withdrawal on feeling unwell.
Three-time Olympian Niall O’Toole hopes Puspure can compete in Paris, but not as a single.
Kerry duo Aileen Crowley and Monika Dukarska finished 5th in their Womens Pair B Final.
The Killorglin rowers achieved their best time of the tournament with 7minutes and 2 seconds, a full 4 seconds better than their Semi Final performance.
That effort places Dukarska and Crowley at 11th in the world.

Shane Ryan is the latest Irish swimmer to set a new national record in Tokyo.
He was fourth in his heat of the men’s 100-metre butterfly in a time of 52-point-5-2 seconds.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to progress to the semi-finals.

Annalise Murphy has given herself a fighting chance of making the medal race of the laser radial sailing.
The Rio silver medalist is up to 14th following a first and second place finish in this morning’s races.
She needs to crack the top ten with her remaining two races.
