Kate O'Connor's medal campaign is off to a strong start as she sits third overall after three events at the World Indoor Athletics Championships today
The Dundalk woman finished fifth in the 60 meter hurdles, fourth in the High Jump and third in the Shot Put so far today
She will compete in the Long Jump and the 800 meters later today.

Sarah Lavin failed to make it out of the heats in the Women's 60 Metre Hurdles.
The Limerick native finished 5th in a time of 8.08 seconds and failed to make the semi finals for the first time in 12 years.
