Kate O'Connor is a silver medallist at World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The Dundalk native finished sixth in the final section of the heptathlon, the 800 metres.
A personal best time of 2 minutes 9.56 seconds meant she held onto second position behind gold medal winner Anna Hall of the USA.
O'Connor is the first Irish individual to medal in a multi-discipline sport and only the sixth Irish athlete to medal at the worlds.
She recorded personal bests in five of the seven events this weekend.
