Kate O'Connor has temporarily slipped out of the medal positions during the heptathlon event at the World Athletics Championships.
The Dundalk athlete is currently fourth after recording a 6.22 metre jump during the long jump section of the event in Tokyo.
That bought her 918 points, moving her up to 4824 points and just 50 points off Britain's defending champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson in third.
O'Connor is preparing for the javelin which is just underway before rounding off with the 800-metres just after 10-past-1.
Another medal hopeful, Cian McPhillips, contests the 800-metres final at around 20-past-2.
While the women's 4-by-400 relay team goes in the heats from noon.
