The All-Ireland winning Kerry senior football team has received nine All-Star nominations.
The PwC All-Star nominations have been announced this morning, as well as the Footballer and Young Footballer of the Year Award shortlists.
For Kerry, goalkeeper Shane Ryan, backs Brian Ó Beaglaíoch, Jason Foley, Gavin White and Michael Breen, midfielder Joe O’Connor and forwards David Clifford, Paudie Clifford and Seán O’Shea are all nominated for an All-Star.
Beaten finalists in this year’s All-Ireland Championship, Donegal, have more nominations than the All-Ireland champions with ten players named.
Kerry’s David Clifford and Joe O’Connor are also in the running for the Footballer of the Year Award after a number of eye-catching performances this year.
Donegal’s Michael Murphy joins them on the shortlist for the award.
His inter-county teammate Finbarr Roarty has been nominated for the Young Player of The Year, alongside Galway forward Matthew Thompson and Oisín Conaty of Armagh.
The PwC All-Stars will be presented at a gala black-tie event at Dublin’s RDS on Friday November 7.
