A new golf competition which will see players from Great Britain and Ireland going head-to-head with Continental Europe will be launched in January.
The Hero Cup will help European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald in his preparations for their clash with the USA later next year.
The two teams will be confirmed following the conclusion of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai in November.
