Two of hurling's big guns will see their seasons ended this afternoon.

First up, there’s a repeat of the 2017 All Ireland final as Waterford face Galway in round 2 of the qualifiers.

There’s a 2pm start at Semple Stadium.

And there’s a 4.30 throw-in at the L-I-T Gaelic Grounds where Clare play Cork.

A place in Division One B next season is the reward for the winners of this evening's relegation playoff between Laois and Westmeath.

Westmeath go into the half-seven throw-in at O'Moore Park on the back of being crowned Joe McDonagh Cup champions last weekend.

The Christy Ring Cup reaches its semi-final stage today with Derry facing Sligo, and Offaly up against Wicklow.

In the semis of the Nicky Rackard, Mayo take on Armagh, and Tyrone play Donegal.

While in the semi-finals of the Lory Meagher, it’s Longford v Fermanagh, and Cavan versus Louth.

The quarter-final line-up of the TG4 Ladies Football Championship will near completion today.

The winners of the Group 3 meeting of Tyrone and Waterford will join Dublin in the last-8.

Group 1’s top-two play for placings with Armagh holding a healthy points advantage over Mayo.

Reigning champions Kilkenny play Westmeath in Group 3 of the All Ireland Camogie Championship.

While Galway play Clare.

In Group 1, Wexford take on Offaly.

While in Group 2, Dublin face Waterford, and Down entertain Cork.
