Na Gaeil miss out on the All-Ireland final after being beaten by Steelstown Brian Ógs of Derry.
Na Gaeil got the game going with a fantastic point from Andrew Barry. Steelstown Brian Ógs responded with a point of their own 3 minutes in. Three points for McCarron ensured Steelstown stayed ahead with a 2 point lead. A line ball lead to a point for Jack Barry in the 17th minute to bring it back to a one point game.
Steelstown took a 4 point lead when Ben McCarron put the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-03 to 0-02. 5 wides from frees in the first half frustrated Na Gaeil but a point for Darragh Carmody two minutes before half time meant there was only a goal between the sides going in at the break.
The half time score was 1-03 to 0-03 in favour of Steelstown Brian Ógs.
Na Gaeil came out firing in the second half with two points to no reply in the first 7 minutes of the second half. Steelstown responded to bring it back to a three point game.
Stefan Okunbor was stretchered off in injury time after sustaining a serious injury. Steelstown Brian Ógs then ensured they marched on to the All-Ireland Final after burying a penalty into the back of net in the dying minutes of the game.
The final score was 2-06 to 0-07.
Steelstown will not face Trim of Meath in the All-Ireland intermediate final in Croke Park next Sunday.
