Munster have named their team for the final round of the URC.
It’s an unchanged 23-man squad from last week’s bonus-point win over Ulster at Thomond Park.
8th place Munster take on 7th placed Benetton meaning a win will guarantee champions cup rugby for next season.
After a victorious Thomond Park farewell - Peter O’Mahoney, Conor Murray and Stephen Archer will be hoping for a similar goodbye to their fans in Cork as they play in Virgin Media Park for the final time.
Thaakir Abrahams, Calvin Nash and Diarmuid Kilgallen start in the back three with Alex Nankivell and Tom Farrell in midfield. Farrell continues his record of starting every single game so far this season and will make his 25th appearance for Munster.
Casey and Jack Crowley continue their half-back partnership.
Michael Milne, Niall Scannell and Stephen Archer pack down in the front row with Jean Kleyn and captain Tadhg Beirne in the engine room.
Peter O’Mahony, John Hodnett and Gavin Coombes complete the side.
Lee Barron, Josh Wycherley, John Ryan, Fineen Wycherley, Tom Ahern and Alex Kendellen provide the forward cover.
Conor Murray and Seán O’Brien are the backline replacements.
Defence coach Denis Leamy knows this will be another tough test, but he trusts their players will have the steel to overcome Benetton…
Cardiff are level on points with Munster and Benetton and could themselves move up to 6th if they can beat the Stormers in South Africa. That match kicks off at 6 tomorrow evening.
