Munster Hurling Championship continues this afternoon

A repeat of the National Hurling League final headlines this afternoon's action in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship.

Limerick are without key forward Aaron Gillane for their trip to Pairc Ui Chaoimh to face the reigning champions Cork.

John Kiely's Treaty men came out on top when the sides met in the League decider earlier this month, but Cork bounced back by overcoming Tipperary last weekend.

That defeat has left the All-Ireland champions Tipperary needing a win at Waterford this afternoon.

The Deise also lost at Clare last week, and know a defeat would leave them with an uphill task to qualify from the round-robin.

Galway look to build on a strong opening day win over Kilkenny when they host Offaly in the Leinster Hurling Championship later.

Dublin go in search of their first victory of the campaign when they welcome last year's McDonagh Cup winners Kildare to Parnell Park.

2-3 from Mossy Keoghan helped Kilkenny to beat Wexford by 5-21 to 1-16 last night.
