McSharry 5th in Euro final

Mona McSharry finished fifth in the final of the Women's 100-metre breaststroke at the European Championships in Rome.

Danielle Hill was sixth in her group and 11th overall in the 50m backstroke semi-final just missing out on a place in the finals.

Meanwhile Darragh Greene was one second outside the qualifying time for the 200m backstroke finals.

The Longford native ended up 13th after the session.
