McIlroy ties for fifth

Rory McIlroy finished in a tie for fifth at the Houston Open last night.

A final round of 64 helped the Holywood native to a 15-under-par total in Texas.

That left McIlroy five shots adrift of the eventual winner, Min Woo Lee.

On 20-under-par, the Australian was a shot better off than both Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.

McIlroy says he'll receive some treatment on an elbow issue ahead of The Masters next week.

The county Down native felt some discomfort during the Houston Open.

Leona Maguire was well down the field on the final day of the Ford Championship on the LPGA Tour.

The Cavan native carded a final round of 74 to finish the week on three-under-par.
