Joe McCarthy looks set to miss the Lions' second Test with Australia on Saturday.
The Ireland lock is the tourists' main injury concern, having hobbled off with a foot issue last weekend.
McCarthy has been unable to train since and he's likely to have only one session to prove his fitness before Andy Farrell names the team.
Former Ireland flanker Alan Quinlan is in Melbourne and he thinks the Leinster second-row will sit out the weekend.
