Mayo GAA's vice-chairman Michael Diskin admits the tone of their statement about their outgoing football management team didn't 'reflect the respect and admiration' they have for Kevin McStay.
He's apologised to McStay and his backroom team for the wording of the release, which was heavily criticised in the aftermath.
Diskin added that they're planning to appoint a new manager by the second round of their local football championships.
