The new Mayo senior football manager is expected to be confirmed tonight.
It's understood a meeting of the county board is set to take place, with clubs due to ratify James Horan's successor.
Interviews for the position are believed to have taken place over the weekend.
Former county stars Kevin McStay and Ray Dempsey are among those in the running for the position.
Pat Flanagan has been nominated to take over as Roscommon football manager.
The former Offaly, Sligo and Westmeath manager is currently in charge of Padraig Pearses.
He led the south Roscommon club to last season's Connacht club title.
Flanagan has also dismissed reports suggesting he was set to become Longford's new manager.
