Manchester United are out of the FA Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Brighton yesterday.

It looks set to be Darren Fletcher's final game in interim charge, with United expected to appoint a manager until the end of the season later this week.

Elsewhere yesterday, Arsenal were 4-1 winners away to Portsmouth while West Ham beat QPR by two goals to one.

Penalties were required in two third round ties - Hull City beat Blackburn Rovers while West Brom got the better of Swansea City.

Tonight, Liverpool welcome Barnsley to Anfield.

Former Ireland international Conor Hourihane is in charge of the visitors, who are currently 17th in the League One table.

Elsewhere, English Championship club West Brom have appointed Eric Ramsay as their new boss.
