Mageean snatches another national record from O’Sullivan

Ciara Mageean snatched another national record from Sonia O’Sullivan last night.

O’Sullivan’s Irish record in the mile stood for 29-years until Mageean ran a time of 4-minutes 14-point 5-8 seconds at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco.

Mageean was second behind Faith Kipyegon, who shaved five-seconds off the world record.
