Lowry in touch with leaders

Shane Lowry remains in touch of the leaders ahead of day three of the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour.

The Offaly man is in a tie for 5th on 3 under par after shooting a level par round of 72 in Dublin, Ohio yesterday.

That leaves him four shots off the joint lead of 7 under which is held by Ben Griffin and Nick Taylor.

All three will return to the course later this evening.

World number one Nelly Korda is among the title contenders going into the third round of the US Women's Open.

The American is part a group of players tied for second on 5-under-par - three shots behind leader Mao Saigo of Japan.

Scotland's Gemma Dryburgh heads into the penultimate day on 3-under, with English amateur Lottie Woad a stroke further back.
