Lowry best of Irish; McIlroy misses cut

Shane Lowry will tee off his third-round at the FedEx Saint Jude Championship from four-under-par later.

The former Open champion signed for a two-under round of 68 last night at the opening tournament of the PGA Tour playoffs.

J-J Spain holds a one-shot lead over the field heading into the weekned at 11-under-par while Rory McIlroy missed the cut.
