Leicester defender out of Chelsea encounter

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed defender Jonny Evans will miss tomorrow's all important Premier League trip to Chelsea.

The Northern Ireland international came off injured during the FA Cup final win over the same opposition on Saturday.

Youri Tielemans scored the only goal in that game - and there are reports the Belgian midfielder will be given a new, improved contract this summer.

But Rodgers says there's nothing to report on a new deal

Meanwhile, former players including Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Lineker have launched a parliamentary petition calling for an independent regulator in English football.

The group's also backed by journalists, and the move is a response to the failed attempt by the so-called 'big six' clubs to join a European Super League.

An open letter says that was a "direct threat to the integrity of the game".
