Michael Kiely found the net with the final puc of a dramatic game to send U-L through to Saturday's Fitzgibbon Cup hurling final.
His goal in added time of extra-time gave them a one-point win over I-T Carlow.
U-L will play NUI Galway in tomorrow's final.
