Reigning TG4 All-Ireland champions Kerry qualified for the Munster final after a hard-earned win in Dungarvan when they were pushed all the way by Waterford.
The champions led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break, Rachel Dwyer’s 13th minute goal proving to be the difference between the sides at the interval.
The goal was a well worked team movement into the harbour end of the ground which saw Danielle O’Leary find Dwyer and she made no mistake in finishing past Katelyn Gardner in the Waterford goal.
Kerry struck for a second goal on 39 minutes, Siofra O’Shea flicking the ball to the net after she was picked out by Danielle O’Leary.
The visitors added to their lead after the restart with scores from Dwyer and the impressive Aoife Dillane, but Waterford were not giving up as they followed up with points from Kellyann Hogan, Chloe Fennell and Áine O’Neill by the 46th minute.
Lauren McGregor struck for a goal for Waterford following the restart following O’Neill’s score to leave just one point between the sides.
Hogan made it a one-point game on the hour mark when she put over from play and that lead was suddenly two points when O’Leary pointed at the other end.
Waterford did not give up and five minutes into stoppage time they won a free which was brought into a more favourable position, but Hogan saw her effort rise over the crossbar as the All-Ireland Champions drew players back to line the goal.

Cork 3-13 Tipperary 0-11
Cork proved much too strong for Tipperary in the TG4 Munster Senior Football Championship clash at Fethard Town Park on Sunday afternoon, with an eleven points winning margin reflecting the gulf between the sides.
Goals proved vital for the visitors, with Katie Quirke getting two, the second from the penalty spot and Laura O’Mahony getting the score of the game, with a beautifully angled shot to the top corner of the net past Lauren Fitzpatrick.
Despite an encouraging start, the home side never threatened the Cork goal. There was an over-reliance on Aisling Moloney from frees, but Sarah English put in a brilliant second half with three points from play.
Tipperary started brightly and were 0-4 to 0-2 up after ten minutes, with their scores from Caoimhe Condon, an Aisling Maloney free, Anna Rose Kennedy and Ava Fennessy, to Cork replies from a Katie Quirke free and Aine O'Sullivan.
Cork then came back with a flurry of scores, hitting 1-5 without reply. Quirke, a huge presence in their attack, finished a great move with a superb goal, and O’Sullivan followed up with a point in the next move.
As Cork took control of the contest, Quirke added three further points, one from a free, and O’Mahony also finding the target. Moloney from a free had Tipperary’s first point in fifteen minutes to leave Cork 1-7 to 0-5 ahead at the interval.
Kirsty Crotty Ryan had the first point of the second half for Tipperary, after a Moloney shot for goal from a free was blocked and cleared. But in the 33rd minute a Cork turnover in midfield proved costly for Tipp, with Quirke breaking through the centre and setting up O’Mahony for a sublime goal.
Tipperary never recovered from that blow and could never reduce the Cork lead to less than five points. Three points from Sarah English helped to keep them in the game, with Moloney adding two further points from frees, but Cork points from Quirke, O’Sullivan, O’Mahony, as well as subs Anna Ryan and Hannah Looney, kept the visitors out of touch.
The victory was sealed when Quirke converted a penalty in the 60th minute. Both teams had players yellowed-carded in the last ten minutes, Erika O’Shea for Cork and Maria Curley for Tipp, with Cork ending the game with thirteen players when Dara Kiniry had to go off injured after all their subs were used.
Scorers - Cork: K Quirke 2-6 (3f, 1pen), L O’Mahony 1-2, A O’Sullivan 0-3, H Looney, A Ryan 0-1 each.
Tipperary: A Moloney 0-4 (4f), S English 0-3, A.R. Kennedy, C Condon, K Crotty Ryan, A Fennessy 0-1 each.

Dublin will take on Meath in the Leinster ladies football final.
The Royals have beaten Kildare by 2-14 to 1-16 in their semi final at Cedral St Conleth’s Park.
By Daire Walsh
After trading early scores with Meath’s Kerrie Cole, Kildare attacker Roisin Byrne added her second point of the game in the seventh minute of the action. While the Royals subsequently found the target through the talismanic Vikki Wall and Orlaith Sheehy, the Lilies – who lost to Dublin in the same venue last weekend - responded to these efforts with contributions from Neasa Dooley and dead-ball specialist Alannah Prizeman.
Another free courtesy of Naas’ Prizeman moved Kildare two points in front, before Meath eventually hit a purple patch inside the second-quarter. After Cole doubled her account, Megan Thynne seized upon a short opposition kick-out and proceeded to release Emma Duggan for a simple 17th minute goal.
Duggan and Niamh Gallogly also split the posts from distance as the opening period wore on and Meath were very much in the driving seat when the raiding Sarah Wall rattled the net on the half-hour mark.
While a late Prizeman point reduced Kildare’s deficit to six (2-6 to 0-6) in time for the interval, Meath reinforced their authority on the resumption with unanswered scores from Duggan and Ciara Smyth. The excellent Duggan went on to bolster her tally with a two-point salvo and the hard-working Prizeman did likewise at the opposite end as the Lilies gallantly sought their way back into contention.
Kildare substitute Ellen Dowling also found the range to cancel out a Marion Farrelly point for Meath and this was quickly supplemented by Prizeman’s sixth of the contest. Duggan added another white flag score to move the Royals eight clear (2-12 to 0-10) on the stroke of 50 minutes, but it was at this stage that the Lilies challenge kicked back into gear.
Complimenting Prizeman’s second point from play, Ciara Wheeler fired home a 53rd minute goal at the second time of asking. Dowling and Prizeman then brought the gap down to two with quickfire scores, before Meath regained their composure with much-needed efforts from Smyth and Duggan.
However, Kildare refused to throw in the towel and with Mia Doherty, Byrne and Dooley all kicking points during six minutes of stoppage-time, the bare minimum separated the sides in the end.
Scorers – Meath: E Duggan 1-6 (0-2f), S Wall 1-0, C Smyth, K Cole 0-2 each, O Sheehy, M Farrelly, N Gallogly, V Wall 0-1 each.
