Cork City winger Malik Dijksteel has signed a pre-contract with Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.

The 24-year-old Dutchman will remain with Cork until the end of the League of Ireland season, with no compensation due to the club.

Dijksteel has battled injuries this year but returned to form recently and is set to start in Friday’s crucial relegation clash against Sligo Rovers, with City eight points adrift after just two wins in 24 games.
