The idea of a live referee mic during games has been shelved for the time being at least.
Plans were in place for viewers of TG4 to be able to hear the match official during the Wexford County senior hurling final on Sunday.
However, that is not now going to happen after the GAA stepped in, believing such a development require more discussion and education.
