Jack Kennedy was on the mark as Manoir De Mirande scored a comfortable success in the rated novice hurdle in the colours of Gigginstown House Stud at Ballinrobe on Tuesday. The Gordon Elliott-trained the 4/1 chance headed Henry de Bromhead’s 4/6 favourite Lureka Du Noyer after the final hurdle to win by two and a half lengths.
The easiest winner of all on the night was the Phillip Enright-ridden She’ll Be Kept who ran away with the second division of the two-mile six-furlong handicap hurdle. Trained by Brian McMahon for his mother Anne, the 12/1 chance came widest of all into the straight after the final hurdle and coasted to an eight-length success over Denise Foster’s 14/1 shot Smackwater Jack.
At Wexford on Wednesday, Enright rode back-to-back winners for trainers Sam Curling and Andy Slattery. Both horses were returned 9/4 favourites and won by 11 lengths. The Curling-trained Queenofthelodge, owned by the Sink Or Swim Syndicate, led before the fourth-last fence and had loads in hand of Henry de Bromhead’s 5/2 chance Los Blanco, despite jumping to his right at the final fence, in the two-mile three-furlong handicap chase. In the three-mile handicap chase, Enright made much of the running on Slattery’s eight-year-old Ceroc to beat Philip Rothwell’s 11/2 shot Dorans Law for owner Kay Russell.
The Tom Cooper-trained Mysilverriverfeale won the two-mile three-furlong maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan on Friday. Daniel King had the 9/4 chance in front after the second-last hurdle and she beat Ciaran Murphy’s 85/40 favourite Facile Ocean by a length and three-parts at the line.
