Things haven’t gone quite the way of trainer Gordon Elliott’s into the New Year as it had over Christmas, but the Cullentra handler snapped a frustrating run of outs when Needs Must won the maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last Thursday by over three lengths at odds of 15-8 second favourite. Jack Kennedy was the pilot.
