Phillip Enright and County Tipperary trainer Sam Curling shared two winners at Downpatrick five days earlier and they were on the mark again as 3/1 favourite Kilmore Coral landed the two-mile five-furlong mares’ maiden hurdle at Tramore on Friday evening. Owned by Anthony Creane, the five-year-old led approaching the final hurdle and battled well to beat Dermot Day’s 8/1 chance Charity Barnum by three-parts of a length.
Killarney’s Charles Coakley won the near two-mile handicap chase with the 11-year-old Itsalonglongroad at Tramore on Sunday. Ridden by Shane O’Callaghan, the 6/1 chance battled well from the second-last fence to beat Henry de Bromhead’s 3/1 favourite Lady Rose Hackett by three-parts of a length.
