The Gavin Brouder-ridden Crowsatedappletart made it back-to-back wins at the course when narrowly landing the two-mile handicap chase at Wexford on Wednesday. Trained by Michael Winters for owner Paul Mullins, the 4/1 shot headed Paul Power’s 7/2 chance Charlies Pride after the final fence to win by three-parts of a length.
At Wexford on Thursday evening, Phillip Enright rode back-to-back winners in both divisions of the two-mile handicap hurdle for two different trainers. He took the opening leg on owner/trainer Aengus King’s nine-year-old Chosen Saint. The 100/30 joint-favourite made much of the running and was clear between the final two hurdles to win by 10 lengths from the Peter Cluskey-trained 16/1 chance Stormy Jenn. County Galway trainer Darren Collins completed the jockey’s double when saddling 25/1 chance Dontdooddson to win the second division of the same race. Owned by the Profit In Your Pocket Racing Club, the 12-year-old dug deep to win by three-parts of a length from the Tony Mullins-trained 15/2 shot Paul’s Dream.
