Last weekend saw a number of Kerry players head to Portmarnock in Dublin for the Irish International Open as the U16 event was where the Kerry players ended up in the prizes. Aodhan O’Halloran of Deerpark won the Boys U13 section of the competition while club-mate Fionn McMonagle was runner-up in the U16 section. Congratulations to both Aodhan and Fionn on their performances last Friday.
In the Mens event, three-time winner of the competition Damien Fleming had to settle for a 15th place finish with a score of 12 under par as the event was won by Dubliner John Ross Crangle with a score of 19 under par. Tralee’s Jason Cregan finished the event on six under par. Attention now swiftly turns to the Munster Strokeplay Finals which Deerpark are hosting this weekend as nearly 50 Kerry players will be taking part in the various finals over the course of both Saturday and Sunday.
We wish all the Kerry players involved the very best of luck as we also reminder players that the dress code will be in effect for the event. We also wish Deerpark as a club the best in hosting their first Pitch & Putt Ireland event since 2022 this weekend.
