Kerry FC have been docked three points following a League of Ireland disciplinary decision into player eligibility.
The FAI has confirmed that Kerry’s 2-0 win over Finn Harps on the opening night of the season has been annulled, after it was found that both clubs fielded ineligible players in that fixture.
Kerry’s Stevan Stanic-Floody and Finn Harps’ Gavin Hodgins were both ruled ineligible. As a result, the result has been voided and no points awarded to either side.
Kerry FC now drop in the First Division table due to the deduction, though the decision is subject to appeal.
