Finals day in Crotta started off with a fierce battle for the Féile Div 1 Cup between Tralee Parnells Hurling & Camogie Club and Cillard Camogie Club. No score from either side in the first half left it all to play for in the second half. With a strong breeze in Parnells favour they just edged it with a 1 point win. That's back to back County Féile Div 1 Champions. They will now go on to represent Kerry at National Féile Div 3 in Wexford.
Up next we had Ballyduff Camogie and Causeway Camogie Club in the Div 1 Shield Semi Final. Causeway, having beaten Ballyduff in the previous days proceedings, were favourites to win. Ballyduff, never ones to be written off, put in a Trojan effort and secured a well deserved win.
The Division 2 final between Abbeykillix Camogie Club and Sliabh Luachra Camogie Club, was expected to be the tightest game of the day after they drew the previous day in Killarney.
Despite the best efforts from Sliabh Luachra Abbeykilix dominated from the start. They will go on to represent Kerry at Regional Féile, Venue TBC.
Ffinal game of the day was the Div 1 Shield Final, a new introduction this year. It saw Ballyduff take on Cillard, a game Ballyduff went in to as underdogs. They went in fighting and pulled off an impressive victory over Cillard. Ballyduff took full advantage of the breeze in the first half and despite the best efforts from Cillard they just couldn’t close the gap after some great chances on goal. They will now go on to represent Kerry at National Féile Div 5 in Wexford.
