Tipperary 1-8 Kerry 1-2
Kerry traveled to Fethard Town Park on Sunday to take on Tipperary in the Minor B Munster final.
Kerry made a bright start, opening the scoring through Sinéad Flynn in the third minute. Despite controlling much of the opening quarter, they were unable to add to their tally. Tipperary grew into the game and took a 1-2 to 0-1 lead into half-time after a late goal.
A tight battle followed in the second half, with Kate Maunsell keeping Kerry in touch, scoring 1-1 from frees. However, Tipperary dominated the final quarter with five unanswered points to claim a hard-fought 1-8 to 1-2 victory.
Plenty of positives for Kerry, particularly in defence, as focus now turns to the All-Ireland Championship on February 15.
