Kearney completes first round in Munich

Niall Kearney has completed a 7 under par opening round at the BMW International Open in Munich.

He is just a shot behind current joint leaders Sam Horsfield and Sebastian Garcia Rodriguez.

Jonathan Caldwell is 2 under, Padraig Harrington is level par and Paul Dunne is 1 over.

In the USA, Seamus Power shot a 4 under par round of 66 to lie in a tie for 9th at the Travelers Championship going into day two.

The lead is shared on 7 under by Kramer Hickok and Satoshi Kodaira.

Leona Maguire took a level par opening round at the Women's PGA Championship in Atlanta.

She is 5 shots behind leader Lizette Salas.
