Kaymer requests release to play in the Saudi-backed L-I-V Golf Tour

Martin Kaymer is the latest big-name player to request their release to play in the Saudi-backed L-I-V Golf Tour.

The German is a former world number-1, and winner of the PGA Championship and US Open.

Kaymer was a vice-captain to Padraig Harrington at last year’s Ryder Cup, and his move will close the door on future captaincy of the European team.
