Kate O Connor competes in heptathlon later

Kate O'Connor represents the Irish interest in the heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo later.

The 100-metres hurdles is the first event and begins at half nine Irish time.

Later, Brian Fay is in Heat 1 of the 5000 metres, with Andrew Coscoran and Darragh McElhinney in the second heat.
