Quick-Step's Julian Alaphilippe has won a crash-laden first stage of the Tour de France.
The world champion held off the challenge of Michael Matthews and Primoz Roglic to secure the yellow jersey.
Former winner Chris Froome was involved in a major crash caused by a supporter but he eventually finished the stage.
