Former Cork boss John Meyler looks set to chair a new GAA hurling expert advisory group.

The panel, established by GAA president Jarlath Burns, will analyse data from the Games Intelligence Unit to help guide the future development of the sport.

The Irish Examiner reports Meyler will be joined by former Kilkenny star Richie Hogan and referee John Keenan among others on the advisory body.
