Jockey Graham Lee - who won the 2004 Grand National - is in intensive care after suffering a neck injury at Newcastle Racecourse.
The 47-year-old came off his horse as the stalls opened yesterday.
He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary and continues to receive treatment.
