Three Irish crews have taken to the water on day one of the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai.
The Men’s Pair of Nathan Timoney and Ross Corrigan finished 2nd in their heat and qualified for Tuesday’s semi final.
The Women’s Pair of Emily Hegarty and Aoife Casey ended up fourth in their heat which qualifies them for the C Final.
The Men’s Quad of Andrew Sheehan, Adam Murphy, Brian Colsh and Ronan Byrne are also heading for the C final after their fourth placed finish today.
