Ireland win at Bulgaria in Nations League

Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson says he was pleased by the character shown by his team in last night's 2-1 win at Bulgaria in their Nations League play-off.

Ireland recovered from going behind early in the game, with headed goals from Finn Azaz and Matt Doherty giving them a slender lead to defend in Sunday's second leg in Dublin.

Azaz says they'll need an improved performance at the Aviva Stadium, if they're to win the tie and stay in League B

New England boss Thomas Tuchel admits he's feeling a bit nervous ahead of his first game in charge at Wembley this evening.

He's called on his players to take "the first step" on their quest to lift a major trophy in their World Cup qualifier against Albania.

Jamie Donley could make his Northern Ireland debut when they take on Switzerland in a friendly in Belfast tonight.
