The Ireland women's cricketers suffered a 74-run defeat in their second one-day international against South Africa.
The hosts set a target of 376 runs after 50 overs, before the tourists were bowled out for 301, with Orla Prendergast coming up just short of a century at bat.
The two sides will meet for the final match in Johannesburg on Friday.
