Ireland lose to Netherlands

Ireland have lost 2-nil to the Netherlands in their opening pool match at the women's Euro Hockey Championships in Germany.

Joosje Burg and Yibbi Janssen scored for the Dutch, who are bidding to win a 5th straight European title.

Next up for Ireland is a clash with France on Monday, before facing hosts Germany on Wednesday.
