Sport Ireland will receive a €2 million increase in high-performance funding from the government this year.
The body announced a record investment of €27 million, with athletics, rowing, boxing, and swimming receiving the bulk of the funding.
A target of 8 to 10 medals has been set for Team Ireland at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
